We each hold biases we are not always aware of, which is known as unconscious or hidden bias. Any bias can have a negative impact in our organizations, but when we don’t know we are doing it we can’t address the bias directly. Organizations with inclusive cultures and ways of working out perform those that don’t, which speaks to the “cost” of unconscious bias on our employees, our clients and our communities. This workshop looks at the cost unconscious bias and the ways we can each play a part in managing our own bias, providing a more open and accepting workplace and community.
