INTERVIEWING

Interviewing Has Gone Virtual

How to communicate comfortably on-screen so you are the
stand-out candidate for your dream job.

Know Your Tech

Tips to get the tech right
Video conference software isn't hard to use, but with so many types it's important to feel confident using them before the interview so you don't have to worry about it on the big day.

Dress For Success

Choices that support confidence
Speaking with comfort and confidence makes you more influential on-screen; dress for your confidence and success, even while you interview from home.

Your (Video) Background Matters

Protect your privacy & your professional image
Video conference is quick and convenient, but it also means your interviewers can see into your home. Just as you will carefully choose what to wear, also consider your background so you manage what they can see.

Light It Up

Put yourself in the best light possible (literally and metaphorically)
Light sources are everywhere, from a sunny window to the pot lights  on the ceiling; each of them casts you in a different light.  Make sure its the best light possible so you can shine in your interview.

Sound Good

Keep the connection dynamic
Communication needs good sound, if you can't hear your interviewer (or vice versa) then your interview will be either guess work or a lot of requests to repeat what's been said.  No one likes a poor connection, a sound check will keep their attention on you for all the right reasons.

Body Language Talks

You are more than your words
Did you know that what you say is as important as how you say it?  When your interviewers can see all of your rich body language you will be more credible on-screen.  Tips on how to set your screen up for success.
