Gratitude is an important part of expressing joy, just not the toxic “I’m grateful to have a job at all” kind. Gratitude fosters joy when you let your work touch your heart.
While its often easy to find positive things you are grateful for, there will always be challenges; in the midst of difficulty, you’re normal if you feel negative (even ungrateful). See what you can connect to here; as an example, see if you can change “I have to,” to, “I get to.” Another option is when you feel you are not good at something, add the word ”yet” (as in “I’m not good at influencing up, yet”).
At the end of the day, even the challenges are a blessing (in disguise) and can be the bearers of the joy of possibility.
